A Tale of Two Shows
"I attended two The Glorious Sons shows in a week, and it was a lucky experience!
The first show, which started at 10 PM and ended close to 1 AM, felt very disjointed yet pretty bonkers. It was like stand up in its purest form, with The Glorious Sons riffing for nearly 2 hours. Despite some people being disappointed, it was an organic show with a lot of audience interaction. Even from the back, I felt the energy.
The other show I saw seemed more like a typical concert. The jokes were similar to the previous night but more effective. The Glorious Sons's segment was on point, delivering the show you'd expect from them.
One notable difference was the opening acts not getting as much time compared to the first night. Donnell Rawlings had a long set with wild jokes on the first night, but on the Netflix night, his traditional stand up set fell short in humor.
It's hard to say which show was better after watching both. A Netflix version is also coming. I definitely recommend seeing a The Glorious Sons show, as you never know what type of experience you'll get!"
